Joseph Gordon-Levitt in Looper (2012) Movie Image

This one is a domestic trailer #2, officially speaking. It looks a bit like the last International trailer we posted, except some of the sequences are switched around. And I do believe you get to see Bruce Willis punch Joseph Gordon-Levitt, playing his younger self, an extra time or so. Then again, I could just be imagining that, cause Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s character, as written, is kinda a dick in the movie.

In the futuristic action thriller Looper, time travel will be invented – but it will be illegal and only available on the black market. When the mob wants to get rid of someone, they will send their target 30 years into the past, where a “looper” – a hired gun, like Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) – is waiting to mop up. Joe is getting rich and life is good… until the day the mob decides to “close the loop,” sending back Joe’s future self (Bruce Willis) for assassination.

The trippy sci-fi actioner also stars Emily Blunt, Piper Perabo, Garret Dillahunt, Paul Dano, Jeff Daniels. Rian Johnson directs the film, due out September 28, 2012.
